Maddie Zenz
Senior Account Manager
Maddie’s favorite question is when people ask her to describe what a “typical” day looks like. It’s the best part about working in PR – no day is the same, no client is the same and no campaign is the same. She works with the 3C team to craft and execute strategic tactics developed with our clients’ specific goals in mind, in an ever-changing consumer media landscape.
Maddie’s PR career spans a breadth of categories from Midwestern brats to Canadian bathtubs – leading efforts for national food, beverage and travel brands like Johnsonville Sausage, Wines of Sicily and Megabus. Her big agency experience has allowed her to work with an exciting lineup of large brands, but her sweet spot is finding creative ways to get small and mid-size companies covered alongside, or in place of, their biggest competitor. In a world where social influencers are on the rise and editorial teams are dwindling, Maddie’s proudest media hit to-date came from a simple tweet that resulted in a two-page print feature in USA Today. She is a scrappy PR-pro with a “can-do” attitude who will do whatever it takes to get the job done for clients, even if that means taking a rickshaw bike while dressed to the nines in the middle of NYC rush hour to make it on time to a client media event – literally whatever it takes.
From hanging out with Atlanta Falcons player Desmond Trufant at a firehouse cook-off challenge, to snapping selfies at a sampling event with Khandi Alexander (AKA Maya Pope #ShamelessScandalPlug) – she has had many career highlights, but her personal favorite is drumming up national press for three witty Italian grandmas bringing Chicagoans free dinner – Nonna style, of course!
